The Preliminary Administrative Services Credential Program in California is designed to prepare aspiring school administrators for leadership roles in K-12 education. This program equips candidates with the knowledge, skills, and dispositions necessary to effectively lead schools, districts, and educational programs. Aligned with the California Professional Standards for Educational Leaders (CPSEL), the program focuses on fostering instructional leadership, promoting equity and access, building collaborative school communities, managing operational systems, and improving student outcomes.

Participants engage in coursework, practical fieldwork, and reflective activities that develop their ability to navigate the complexities of educational leadership. Upon successful completion, candidates are eligible for the Preliminary Administrative Services Credential, which is a requirement for administrative positions such as principals, assistant principals, and district administrators in California schools.
